【慈幼通訊社 ─ 2012 年 11 月 26 日厄瓜多爾Macas訊】 ─ 唐嘉蒂修女列真福品程序，由宣聖部部長安謝洛．阿馬托樞機主持，是充滿喜樂與熱忱的慶典，數以千計的民眾，包括修道者、平信徒、主教、官方代表、Shuar族人，以及來自拉丁美洲鄰國的人民，齊集Macas參與。

溫幗儀修母在總部議會代表Silvia Boullosa修女、Marija Pece修女及、Piera Cavaglià修女陪同下出席典禮，在場的還包括拉丁美洲慈幼會及母佑會各省會長。總會長代理Adrian Bregolin神父亦蒞臨出席。此外，在場參與的亦包括慈幼青年運動成員、平信徒及慈幼大家庭團體代表。

Méndez的宗座代牧Néstor Montesdeoca Becerra主教，根據禮儀規定，宣讀唐嘉蒂修女列真福品的請求，慈幼大家庭聖人列品部列品案代理人Pierluigi Cameroni神父，簡介了新列真福品者，強調她的品性與德行。

安謝洛．阿馬托樞機在宣佈瑪利亞．唐嘉蒂修女列真福品的同時，亦宣佈了八月二十五日為她的紀念日。

溫幗儀修母以及唐嘉蒂修女的一名姪女，主持了新列品者的巨型畫像揭幕禮，而奇蹟領受者Jolanda Josefa Solórzano Pica女士，則把唐嘉蒂修女的聖髑帶向祭台。

阿馬托樞機強調唐嘉蒂修女的自我奉獻，因她的橋樑作用，使定居者與Shuar族人的隔膜修補了，她又進行慈善事業，施贈飲食，照顧病者及探望有困難的人，作出很大貢獻。這位宣聖部部長亦指出，聖德如何在拉丁美洲繼續滋長，並希望唐嘉蒂修女列真福品，能繼續堅定母佑會修女，獻身青年、弱小及有需要人士的教育事業上。

在典禮的尾聲，溫幗儀修母致感謝辭，強調唐嘉蒂修女的一些卓越氣質。「普世教會已許諾開展新福傳，唐嘉蒂修女就是活見證……我們修女列真福品，在信仰上獲到了特殊的象徵意義。靠著信德與望德，唐嘉蒂修女才得以施行慈善事業，成為活見證。」適逢這個日子，她又表示：「作為基督慈悲的見證者，瑪利亞修女鼓勵我們懷著望德面對將來，無論遇到什麼困難，也不要被誘使放棄現有的事業和信念。」

「眾多青年的臨在，就是瑪利亞，唐嘉蒂修女尚在人間的標記。」她向我們所說的，正如對在過去五十年來，與她一起生活的人所說的。「教會是活躍的、年青的、面向未來的。」

Blessed Troncatti: witness of mercy and self-giving

(ANS - Ecuador –Macas, 26 November 2012) – The Beatification of Sr. Maria Troncatti, carried out by Cardinal Angelo Amato, SDB, Prefect for the Congregation of the Saints, was a celebration of joy and enthusiasm that brought together thousands of people in Macas, religious and laity, bishops and civil authorities, Shuar and many people from the neighbouring countries of Latin America.

Mother Yvonne Reungoat was present, accompanied by Sr. Silvia Boullosa, Sr. Marija Pece and Sr. Piera Cavaglià, representing the General Council The SDB and FMA Provincials from Latin America were there. The celebration was also attended by Fr Adrian Bregolin, Vicar of the Rector Major. There were many young people from the Salesian Youth Movement, lay people and representatives of Salesian Family Groups.

Bishop Néstor Montesdeoca Becerra, Vicar Apostolic of Méndez, read the request to enrol Sr. Troncatti amongst the list of Blesseds, as required by the Rite; Fr Pier Luigi Cameroni, Postulator for the causes of Saints for the Salesian Family, gave a brief outline of the newly Beatified, emphasizing her qualities and virtues.

In declaring Sr. Maria Troncatti officially Blessed, Cardinal Amato designated August 25 as the date for the liturgical Memorial.

Mother Reungoat and one of Sr. Troncatti's nieces unveiled the large portrait of the newly beatified, while Mrs. Jolanda Josefa Solórzano Pica, beneficiary of the miracle, brought a relic to the altar.

Mons. Amato highlighted Sr Troncatti’s self-giving because it bridged divisions between the settlers and the Shuar and her dedication in performing works of mercy, giving food to the hungry, drink to the thirsty, curing the sick, visiting whoever was in trouble. The Prefect for the Congregation of Saints, noting how sainthood is continuing to flourish in Latin America, expressed the wish that the Beatification of Sr. Troncatti will continue to confirm the Salesian Sisters in giving themselves entirely to the education of youth, the smallest and the most needy.

At the end of the celebration Mother Reungoat said a few words of thanks, highlighting some of Sr. Troncatti's outstanding features. "The New Evangelization to which the whole Church today is committed, found a witness in Sister Mary... The Beatification of our Sister in faith acquires a particular symbolic significance. The witness of charity Sister Troncatti demonstrated was sustained by faith and hope." Recalling the relevance of this today, she added: "As a witness of the charity of Christ, Sister Maria encourages us to look to the future with hope, not to give in to the temptation to leave our place, our mission, no matter how difficult it may appear at that time".

"The many young people present are the sign that Sister Maria Troncatti is still alive, she speaks to us today as she spoke to whoever lived with her 50 years ago. The Church is alive, young and open to the future”.

The celebration was also followed through several media channels: radio, TV and live streaming from the Province website, where there were over a thousand contacts.
