出席大會的志願會會員(VDB)約100人，她們代表五大洲約一千三百名志願會成員。大會主題為會員的持續培育，並以若望福音中「婦人，你找誰？」（若20：15）這句話為格言。 大會將於當日下午舉行，以總會長查偉思神父主持的彌撒為開始。他於彌撒後作序幕講話。除了主題研討外，大會亦舉行新總負責人及議會選舉。大會將於7月28日結束。 鮑思高志願會的宗旨，是以她們臨在於每個境遇中作見證。志願會員不在團體中生活，卻在她們的家庭、工作當中、生活的地區、在政治組織及工會、堂區中、義工服務中、在傳教地區、在文化及傳意的領域中，以此世的語言，但不同的詞彙活出神貧、貞潔、聽命三個聖願。因此，VDB不會透露她們的修道奉獻者身份，卻以含蓄的生活，使能更有效率地做好工作，尤其在有特殊困難的地區及新領域工作方面。 志願會於1917年由鮑思高神父第三位繼承人真福李納德神父創立。志願會員透過對青年特別的關懷，以及一個深度的熱愛聖體及孝愛聖母的內修生活，表現出她們的慈幼靈修。 7° General Assembly of the Volunteers of Don Bosco opens today (ANS - RMG –Rome, 18 July 2013) –This afternoon, 18 July, the 7° General Assembly of the Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB) opens at the Salesian Generalate. The VDB are a Female Secular Institute belonging to the Salesian Family. There are about 100 VDB present for the Assembly, representing about 1300 Volunteers in all five continents. The theme of the Assembly is the ongoing formation of the members, and their motto is “Woman, who are you looking for?” (Jn 20.15). The Assembly will begin this afternoon with Mass at which the Rector Major of the Salesians Fr Pascual Chávez Villanueva will preside. After Mass he will give an introductory talk. Apart from studying the proposed theme, the Assembly will also have the task of electing a new Major Responsible and her Council. The Assembly is due to end on 28 July. The mission of the Volunteers of Don Bosco is to give testimony by their presence in every situation. The Volunteers do not live in community, but live the three vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in their families, at work, in the area where they live, in politics and trade unions, in parishes, in voluntary service, in mission lands, in the world of culture and communication, using the language of the world but with different words. For this reason, the VDB do not disclose that they are consecrated persons, but live with reserve so as to be able to work better and more effectively, especially in areas of particular difficulty and in frontier zones. Founded in 1917 by Blessed Philip Rinaldi, the third successor of Don Bosco, the Volunteers express their Salesian spirituality through particular attention to the young and an inner life that is deeply Eucharistic and Marian. |
