慈幼通訊社頻道(ANSChannel)在上載於YouTube的短片中，慈幼會總會長范達民神父神父，指出這二百周年，什麼是慈幼會士、慈幼大家庭，以及慈幼青年運動(SYM)的成員所得到最大的成果。
范達民神父在短片中反覆說：「我們的目標不在於放煙花式的大型慶典。」我們要做更重要的事：慈幼會需要推動第27屆全代會所指示的路向，並以與主密契的深度，具吸引力及無可抗拒的兄弟友愛實踐出來，向世人作見證。
對慈幼大家庭來說，二百周年決不是尋求自我陶醉的機會，卻是要提醒我們不斷返回鮑思高神父的本質。
對慈幼青年運動的青年來說，這紀念正是一個契機，讓其他眾多青年與他們一起，體會他們已得享的生命與信仰。

Fr Angel Fernández Artime: Fruits of the bicentennial year
(ANS - RMG –Roma, 15 August 2014) – In the short video released today on YouTube ANSChannel, Fr Angel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, indicates what may be the best fruits of this year's bicentennial, for the Salesians, Salesian Family, and members of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM).
"Our intention is not to do grand parties, as if they were fireworks," reiterates the video of Fr Fernández Artime. There are other priorities: the Salesian Congregation is to initiate the path indicated by the General Chapter 27 and live with mystical depth, the attractive and irresistible brotherhood so as to be witness to all.
For the Salesian Family, the Bicentennial should not be an occasion for self-complacency, but an insistence to return to the essentials of Don Bosco.
For youth of the SYM, this anniversary is an opportunity to accompany many other young people in the experiences of life and faith that they have already undertaken.
