2015年9月15日是七苦聖母揀選在慈幼修院首播胡子義神父紀錄片的日子（因該日是七苦聖母瞻禮日）。紀錄片呈現了胡子義神父的傳教生涯 ─ 澳門路環七苦聖母村(痲瘋病人村)的工作，他被稱為「痲瘋病人的天使」。紀錄片將於11月公開播放。

製作紀錄片的 Ciriaco Offeddu 和 Angelo Paratico 是胡子義神父的朋友 。他們透過眾多的朋友和機構籌集所需的金錢，並花了兩年的時間製作紀錄片。去年，還出版了胡子義神父生平一書。

在紀錄片中，胡子義神父講及了他的父母、他成為慈幼會士之路、傳教召叫以及在澳門為痲瘋病人的工作等。紀錄片末段，由一位受惠者，向奉獻一生為痲瘋病人服務的胡神父表達由衷的感謝。

Fr. Gaetano Nicosia  The Angel of the Lepers

15 September 2015 - This day was chosen by Our Lady of Sorrows which the documentary of Fr. Gaetano Nicosia was presented to Salesian community in Hong Kong. This documentary recorded the missionary life of Fr. Nicosia who was called “The Angel of the Lepers” for his work in the leprosarium of Coloane, Macau. The place was called Our Lady of Sorrows village. The documentary will be shown publicly in November.

Ciriaco Offeddu and Angelo Paratico who directed this production of documentary were Fr. Nicosia’s friends. This film was funded by a crowdfunding operation which collected the necessary funds from a splendid number of friends and associations. They used 2 years to finish this important production. Last year, a biography of Fr. Nicosia was published last year.

In this documentary, Fr. Nicosia talked about his parents, journey to become a Salesian, his missionary vocation and his works in Macau with the lepers. At the end of the documentary, one of the beneficiaries of Fr. Nicosia’s works expressed his gratitude to Fr. Nicosia dedicated life to the lepers.
