format<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">(ANS\u00a0<strong>\u2013\u00a0Rome\u2013<\/strong>RMG, 15 March 2022) \u2013 Regular readers of the\u00a0<em>Agenzia iNfo Salesiana (ANS)<\/em>\u00a0will already have noticed: a few days ago, on the website\u2019s homepage, in the right-hand column of the screen, a blue box with a new logo appeared, replicating the essential features of the agency&#8217;s logo and placing them in a new dimension. In fact, the logo well represents what&#8217;s behind it: the new &#8220;ANS News Video&#8221; service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">&#8220;<em>ANS News Video<\/em>&#8221; is a new\u00a0<strong>monthly news feature that reviews the most important events taking place within the Congregation and the Salesian Family<\/strong>\u00a0and re-elaborates them in a TV-news-style format, to offer the main Salesian news not only to readers but also to viewers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Conceived last year, the project went online at the end of February with\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hzNFeiQiosM&amp;feature=youtu.be\">the first edition of &#8220;ANS News Video&#8221;<\/a>, dedicated to the activities of the Salesian month par excellence, that of January, and the second edition, relating to the events of February, was published just yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>It is published in the six most widely spoken languages\u00a0\u200b\u200bin the Congregation<\/strong>\u00a0and reports what the Sons and Daughters of Don Bosco are doing throughout the world for the education, development, and evangelization of young people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cThe purpose of\u00a0<em>ANS News Video<\/em>\u00a0is to get the word out about what is happening in Salesian Provinces and communities to all Salesians around the world, to our lay collaborators, to members of the Salesian Family, to our benefactors,\u201d says Fr Harris Pakkam, the agency&#8217;s Director.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cThe first two editions already published,\u201d continues the\u00a0<em>ANS<\/em>\u00a0Director, \u201crepresent pilot episodes for us: we have a project already defined and clear, but we want to take it forward together with our viewers. This is why\u00a0<strong>we are eager to receive comments, proposals, and feedback\u00a0<\/strong>and we are ready to innovate and renew it<strong>\u00a0to make this product increasingly appealing and interesting<\/strong>\u00a0for our audience.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The General Councilor for Social Communication, Fr Gildasio Mendes, also expressed all his enthusiasm for this novelty: \u201c<em>ANS News Video<\/em>\u00a0is a project of the Communication Sector that intends to visually document the most significant events in the life of the Congregation. It offers a new way of<strong>\u00a0promoting institutional communication\u00a0<\/strong>at the provincial and world level, and it will also be very useful for organizing Salesian information and\u00a0<strong>curating the historical memory of events<\/strong>, in the Provinces and for the whole Congregation. Without forgetting that it will also be used to\u00a0<strong>broadcast Salesian news on television and online channels<\/strong>. I, therefore, take this opportunity to invite all the Delegates of Social Communication and to all the collaborators of the Sector to participate with enthusiasm in this new phase that is beginning, documenting with videos the major Salesian events in their Provinces and sharing them through this new feature.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Finally, the General Councilor concludes: \u201c<em>ANS News Video<\/em>\u00a0represents a new field for the agency to explore.
