\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u6c7a\u5b9a\u901a\u904e\u8cfc\u8cb7\u4e00\u8f1b\u5c0f\u5df4\u4f86\u652f\u6301\u74dc\u5fb7\u7f85\u666e\u7684Lakou Bosco\u5de5\u4f5c\uff0c\u4ee5\u4fbf\u8b93\u9752\u5e74\u5728\u6d3b\u52d5\u671f\u9593\u80fd\u5920\u65b9\u4fbf\u51fa\u884c\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

France – A sailing boat dedicated to Don Bosco will cross the Atlantic this autumn<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(ANS – Les Sables-d’Olonnes) –<\/strong> The \u2018Mini Transat\u2019, a famous solo transatlantic regatta, will set off from Les Sables-d’Olonnes, France, on 21 September next: towards Guadeloupe, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. It is about 25 days of racing and 7,500 kilometres to cover without contact with land or assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the 90 boats at the start (all identical, small 6.50 metre sailboats) is one skippered by Aymeric le Renard, 39 years old, married, two children. A few months ago, Aymeric contacted the \u201cFondation Don Bosco\u201d in Paris to propose associating the Salesian network with this incredible sporting and human adventure. His wish was indeed to sail while supporting a cause related to young people and social inclusion, and he had been fascinated by the actions of the Salesian network in France and in Guadeloupe in particular, around the Lakou Bosco Work. For the Salesian Family, this request seemed symbolic, especially in this year when we celebrate 150 years since the departure of the first missionary expedition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sails were decorated with motifs reminiscent of Don Bosco and the phrase \u2018Believing in young people<\/em>\u2019 was printed on them, in five languages (French, English, Italian, German and Arabic). In addition, several Salesian Foundations – Don Bosco Mission Austria<\/em> and the Swiss Don Bosco Jugendhilfe Weltweit<\/em> – and the \u201cDon Bosco Network\u201d NGO joined the project and their names therefore appear on the hull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was therefore decided to support the Lakou Bosco work in Guadeloupe through the purchase of a minibus to enable the young people to travel during their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many young people from French Salesian schools have also been involved in this charitable ocean crossing, such as the pupils of Saint Ch\u00e9ly-d’Apcher, Ressins and Gradignan, who will prepare the meals that the skipper will enjoy during his journey. The Salesian Campus de Pouill\u00e9 House will donate fruit, while the boys from Don Bosco Liban will prepare dried fruit rations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cMini Transat\u201d, created in 1977, takes place every two years. It is a race in its own right in the world of ocean racing: a challenge in which human endeavour exceeds technology, in which each skipper overcomes his own limits in the face of the elements. Many famous skippers such as Michel Desjoyeaux, Ellen MacArthur or Lo\u00efck Peyron took their first steps in this race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
