Panama 2019.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span class=\"s5\"> (ANS <\/span><span class=\"s6\"><b>&#8211; <\/b><\/span><span class=\"s4\">Panama<\/span><span class=\"s7\"><b>\u2013<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s4\"><b>Panama City<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s5\">, <\/span><span class=\"s8\">27 January 2018<\/span><span class=\"s5\">) \u2013<\/span><span class=\"s4\"><b> <\/b>Before thousands of young people, the Holy Father spoke on topics of great relevance for today\u2019s youth and with a simple language, deep and close to young people\u2019s understanding.\u00a0He told them that \u201cthe life that Jesus gives us is a \u2018love story\u2019, a story of life that wants to mix with ours and take root in the good soil of each one of us\u201d, as it has been the case with our saints.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s4\" style=\"color: #800080;\">When referring to the saints, he presented the figure of one of the Holy Patrons of the World Youth Day.\u00a0<i>&#8220;I think for example of Don Bosco who did not go to look for young people far away.<\/i>\u00a0<i>Let&#8217;s see here those who love Don Bosco: put your hands together!<\/i>\u00a0<i>Don Bosco did not go to look for young people in far places or special locations; he simply learned to see everything that happened in the city with the eyes of God and, thus, his heart was stricken by hundreds of children, of abandoned young people without chance for study, without work and without the helping hand of a community.<\/i>\u00a0<i>Many people lived in the same city, many criticized these young people, but they were unable to look at them with the eyes of God.<\/i>\u00a0<i>Young people must be looked at with the eyes of God.&#8221;<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\" style=\"color: #800080;\">Referring to the Saint of the young people, he presented him as a saint who took a step for in favour of abandoned young people: \u201c<i>He did it; Don Bosco was courageous, and he dared to take that first step: to embrace life just as it comes and, from there, he was not afraid to take the second step: to create with them a community, a family, where, with work and study, they felt loved.<\/i>\u00a0<i>To give them roots from which to hold themselves up, so that they can reach heaven, so that they can be someone in society; to give them roots so that they can stand steady and not be thrown down by the next wind.
