【慈幼通訊社 ─ 2009年8月3日西班牙馬德里訊】 ─ 七月三十日，逾四百名年齡介乎八至十六歲的青少年男女，參與在 Arena 的 Telefónica 舉行的西班牙籃球隊表演賽。這次活動全賴馬德里慈幼會畢納地協會，與西班牙籃球聯合會轄下籃球社會文化基金會簽訂協議，得以順利進行。
慈幼會畢納地協會及該基金會，均致力宣揚鼓勵青少年，主動加入這些球隊，不單只追求在運動上的超卓技能，同時也要成為在工作及團隊精神的價值上被人所熟悉的球員。參與表演賽的青少年，大部份都參與協會所籌辦的社會及教育活動。
馬德里慈幼會畢納地協會是一非牟利機構，已有十五年的經驗，發展了各種類型的項目，為馬德里地區及附近郊區提供防治逃學、社會及工作機會、價值觀教育及義工等服務。馬德里的逃學率一直偏高，而協會得到公共行政、商業機構、及其他基金會與社團的協助推動相關服務。
二零零八及二零零九年度，畢納地協會援助的青少年人數逾一千二百五十，其中百分之三十八為新移民，這全賴逾一百一十五名專業人士及五十名義工的協助。
西班牙籃球聯合會轄下籃球社會文化基金會表示，會透過在相關範疇的各項活動，以致力西班牙籃球界對社會的承擔。
Learning how to play in a team

August 2009 ) – More than 400 boys and girls between
the ages of 8 and 16, took part last 30th July in the Spanish Basketball
Team`s presentation at the “Telefónica”, Arena, thanks to an agreement
signed between the Salesians of Madrid`s Pinardi Association and the
Basketball Sociocultural Foundation of the FEB, the Spanish Basketball
Federation.
The Pinardi Association and the FEB Foundation promoted the initiative with
a view to encouraging the youngsters to join these teams and be players
known not only for their sporting prowess, but also for values like work and
team spirit. The youngsters who took part in the presentation came for the
most part from the social and educational programmes run by the Association.
The Salesians of Madrid`s Pinardi Association, a not-for-profit body, already has some 15 years of experience, and has developed various projects to prevent school absenteeism, social and work opportunities, education to values and social volunteers for various suburbs and locations in Madrid. Madrid has a high rate of school absenteeism, and the Association is assisted by public administration, businesses, and other foundations and social bodies.
In 2008 and 2009 the Pinardi association helped more than 1,250 youngsters, of whom 38% are migrants, thanks to the efforts of more than 115 professionals and 50 volunteers.
The FEB Basketball Sociocultural foundation has expressed the social commitment of Spanish Basketball through various projects in a range of areas.
