宗座正義和平委員會顧問 Mario
Toso 神父，獲教宗本篤十六世委任為委員會秘書，兼獲委為
Bisarcio 教區領銜主教。
一九五零年七月二日，Mario Toso 生於意大利 Treviso 的 Mogliano Veneto，並於一九六七年八月十六日，發願進入慈幼會修院。他於都靈神學院修讀哲學及神學，並取得神學學士學位，他於一九七八年七月二十二日晉鐸。
他曾發表多篇論文，於一九七八年在米蘭天主教聖心大學取得哲學學士學位；於一九八一年慈幼宗座大學取得哲學執照；並於一九八二年在宗座拉朗大學取得神學執照。
他於二零零三至零九年這六年間，任羅馬慈幼宗座大學 (UPS) 校長。他同時是該大學的哲學講師暨理倫哲學主任，並於一九九四年至二零零零年間，出任哲學系主任一職。
Fr Toso Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace
(ANS – Vatican City , 22 October 2009 ) – Pope Benedict XVI has appointed as Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace the Salesian Fr Mario Toso, a Consulter of that Department, and at the same time appointing him Titular Bishop of Bisarcio.
Fr Mario Toso, born at Mogliano Veneto (Treviso), on 2 July 1950, took his vows in the Salesian Congregation on 16 August 1967. After philosophical and theological studies at the Faculty of Theology in Turin, where he obtained a Baccalaureate in Theology, he was ordained priest on 22 July 1978.
The author of several publications he obtained a degree in Philosophy at the Sacred Heart Catholic University in Milan (1978); a Licence in Philosophy at the Salesian Pontifical University (1981); a Licence in Theology at the Pontifical Lateran University (1982).
During the last six years 2003 – 2009 he had been Rector Magnificus of the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome (UPS). In the same University he was: lecturer in Philosophy, held the chair of Theoretical Philosophy and between 1994 and 2000, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy.
