安托法加斯塔鮑思高學院，因其營造學院與行業之
間良好聯繫，而獲智利教育部確認為其中一所「優良實踐」的工專學院。
「優良實踐工專2009」比賽，旨在鼓勵工專學院，著重實踐改善教學效率的措施。評審的要點包括：課程、學院管理、校內人際關係、教學方式、與行業的關係、學生成績以及對畢業生的支援。
鮑思高學院獲此獎項，是基於以下原因：與行業有固定聯絡、訂立工作經驗正式認可、為師生提供短期課程、實行課程現代化、提高畢業生的資歷、設立預備就業課程、獎學金、關注行業提供的「導師」教育上的更新、確立清晰的課程目標、著重實踐性工作坊的經驗、參與工作坊的發展工作。
由於學院成功獲獎，兩名學院代表以及會省工專負責人，將於十一月三至四日，前往聖地牙哥參與頒獎禮，接受教育部頒發的獎項。
慈幼學院的代表，將有機會在一場特別舉行的研討會中，向在場參與的聖地牙哥不同學院的導師，講解其學院的優良工專實踐方法。研討會中將播放一輯特別製作，有關學院優良實踐的映片，該映片將於其他媒體播放。所有研討會的講義，將上載於互聯網，以突顯其重要性。
The Antofagasta Institute receives an Award from the Ministry of Education
(ANS – Chile – Antofagasta, 23 October 2009 ) – The Don Bosco Institute in Antofagasta was among the list of Technical-Professional Institutions (TP) considered by the Chilean Ministry of Education worthy of recognition for their ”Good Practice” because of the good links between the School and business.
The “Good Practice TP 2009” competition is aimed at technical-vocational schools, encouraging them to focus on those good practices which lead to improvement in educational efficiency. Among the categories are: curriculum, school management, internal relationships, teaching methods, relationships with businesses, results and after school accompaniment.
The Don Bosco Institute received the award because of the following reasons: formalised relationships with businesses; official agreements for work experience; the provision of short-term courses for staff and students; modernisation of the curriculum; the drawing up of profiles of the successful students; work preparation courses; student bursaries; attention given to the educational updating of the “tutors” provided by the businesses; clear definition of the aims and objects of the courses and emphasis on practical work-shop experience; participation in development procedures for the work-shops.
Because of success in winning this award, two representatives of the Institute and the Provincial TP Coordinator will go to Santiago on 3 and 4 November to take part in the Award Ceremony for winners, during which the Minister of Education will present the award.
On that occasion the representatives of the Salesian Institute will have the opportunity to explain their Good TP Practice in a specially organised seminar attended by teachers from Institutes in Santiago. This will involve the presentation of a specially prepared video on the Good Practice of the Institute, which will be made available to other media. All the material will then be made available on the internet, indicating its importance.
