Turcifal，一所靜修院舉行。八個會省的代表參加了是次活動，六個西班牙、葡萄牙及法國的南比利時會省。除會省議員外，出席者還包括四名西班牙青年牧民委員，以
及一些葡萄牙及西班牙會院的院長。全體出席會士共七十一人。
退省的主題為：「予我靈，取其餘；回歸鮑思高，使能回歸青少年。」主題源自及發展於2008年第二十六屆全會代表大會的一些題材：福傳、歐洲方案、慈幼會士的神恩身份及宗徒熱情，當然還包括慈幼會成立一百五十週年紀念。
Fr Chávez is giving the Retreat for the West Europe Region
(ANS – Portugal– Turcifal , 16 November 2009 ) – The Rector Major, Fr Pascual Chávez Villanueva, is in Portugal these days giving a retreat to the members of the Provincial Councils of the West Europe Region.
The Retreat is taking place in a Retreat House in Turcifal, near Torres Vedras. There are eight Provinces represented: 6 from Spain, Portugal and France-Southern Belgium. As well as the Provincial Councillors there are also four Spanish Youth Ministry Delegates and some Rectors from Salesian houses in Portugal and Spain. 71 Salesians in all.
The subject of the Retreat: “Da mihi animas, cetera tolle. Returning to Don Bosco in order to return to the young” takes up and develops some of the material from the 26 General Chapter held in 2008: evangelsation, the Project for Europe, the charismatic identity and the apostolic passion of Salesians and naturally the 150th anniversary of the Founding of the Salesian Congregation.
