【慈幼通訊社 ─ 2007年7月19日智利康塞普西翁訊】 ─康塞普西翁(Concepcion)地區總主教Ricardo Ezzati Andrello （慈幼會會士），將於短期內接任「拉丁美洲主教團」教育及文化委員會會長一職。2007年7月10日至13日，當拉丁美洲主教團在古巴，夏灣拿舉行第三十一屆大會時，總主教已就這項責任被投以信任票。

Ezzati總主教的任命將在Concepcion一個記者招待會中，獲得確認。他說接受此項任命是因服務的精神，有別於他在總主教區內的很多其他職務。「這是一項我要展開的新服務，要以一個開放的心去接受。」

就總主教而言，這項「代表拉丁美洲姊妹教會所展開的服務」是非常重要的，「因為教會福傳的使命，與文化有千絲萬縷的關係。」

Archbishop Ezzati the new President of the Commission for Education and Culture of CELAM

 (ANS – Chile –Concepción, 19 July 2007 ) The Archbishop of Concepción, Mgr. Ricardo Ezzati Andrello SDB, will shortly take up the role of President of the Commission for Education and Culture of CELAM (Latin American Bishops` Conferences). The responsibility was entrusted to him during the XXXI Assembly of CELAM held in Havana Cuba between 10 and 13 July.

Archbishop Ezzati confirmed his appointment during a press conference in Concepción, and said he had accepted the appointment in a spirit of service in spite of his many commitments in the archdiocese. "It is a service I have been asked to undertake, and services are requested and accepted with an open heart," Archbishop Ezzati said.

For the archbishop this "service on behalf of the Sister Churches in Latin America" is very important "because the evangelising mission of the Church is intimately connected with culture."
