【慈幼通訊社 ─ 2010年1月25日海地太子港訊】 ─ 在1月22日，海地慈幼會及母佑會省議會在太子港舉行聯合會議，所議決的事現已開始執行。與會者著重商討了在海地慈幼教育和褔傳事業的重建及組織。

來自美國東部會省福傳辦公室的 Mark Hyde 神父決定延長他在聖多明尼加會省的逗留至1月29日，目的在組織繁多的事。來自同一辦公室的 Hendrix Pineda 先生會在1月25日與他會合，提供通訊支援、財政管理意見及報告要求。

西班牙的非政府組織 Jovenes y Desarrollo 受委託支援統籌整體的緊急救援；「慈幼會國際志願組織」(VIS)被要求提供專門的支援，如：社會心理支持，工程師等等。

從1月26日開始，每天一次的電話會議在美國東部會省、聖多明尼加及太子港同步進行，太子港同時為統籌的工作出力。與海地的通訊正在改善，這要感謝可使用一些衛星電話。

Antilles 區的慈幼會士在 Barahona 機場獲得 10 個貨櫃的空間，並組織卡車運送食水及食物。

目前，仍在考慮在哪裡設立緊急救災辦公室。慈幼會及海地政府分別擁有的財產清單，需整理及能使用，以便加快重建過程及修復辦公室器材與電腦。 

New needs , new solutions

(ANS – Haiti – Porto-au-Prince, 25 January 2010 ) – The decisions taken at the joint meeting of the Provincial Councils of the Salesians and of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians at Port-au-Prince on 22 January are now being implemented. Thought is already being given to the re-construction and the re-organisation of the Salesian mission in Haiti.

Fr Mark Hyde, from the New Rochelle Salesian Missions Office has decided to prolong his stay in Santo Domingo until 29 January in order to coordinate various  things. Mr Hendrix Pineda, from the New Rochelle Missions Office will join him today 25 January to provide communication support and advice on financial management and reporting requirements.

The Spanish NGO Jóvenes y Desarrollo has been entrusted with supporting the coordination of the emergency relief in general; VIS will be requested to support relief efforts with specific types of assistance such as psycho-social support, engineers, etc.

Beginning January 26, a daily simultaneous coordination teleconference will be held among New Rochelle, Santo Domingo, and Port-au-Prince also making a contribution to the work of coordination. Communications with Haiti are improving thanks to the availability of some satellite telephones.

The Salesians of the Antilles have obtained space to keep 10 containers at the airport in Barahona and acquired trucks to transport water and food.

It is still to be decided where to locate the Emergency Relief Office. An inventory of SDB-owned and Government of Haiti-owned properties needs to be drawn up and made available so as to hasten the re-construction process and the recovery of office equipment and computers.
